Actors-Space Berlin is just that - a space for actors; to meet, to work, to network, to extend your range, to explore, to forge new paths, to play, to relax. Conceived as a collaboration between actors, directors, coaches and other colleagues, Actors-Space Berlin began life early last year at the Aqua Carré in Lobeck Strasse, hosting Mike Bernardin's Meisner Technique acting classes. These have already been supplemented by Wolfgang Wimmer's superb Acting on Camera Workshops. Now established are our unique Year-Long acting programme, taught by Co-director André Bolouri, as well as other regular classes; Actors' Movement, Voice, Scene Analysis, Coaching for English Text, individual Role Preparation; each offered by experts in their fields, from Berlin and from the UK and USA. We are constantly told that too many Actors are chasing too few jobs, that we are in competition with each other, that we are exchangeable, that we are the last (and least important) element of the creative process. This is not true. Joining Actors-Space Berlin adds a voice for collaboration, respect, and the pursuit of excellence. Membership of the Actors-Space is without qualification, and commits you to nothing, but offers a chance to find that there is, after all, a COMMUNITY of actors.
