Academy of Fine Arts in Prague has launched an open call for positions.

Open Positions:
• The School of Painting II. (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Painting IV. (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Sculpture I. (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Sculpture II. (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Figurative Sculpture and Medal (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Drawing (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of of Intermedia Studies (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Monumental Art (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of Conceptual Tendencies (head of the department and assistant)
• The School of New Media II. (head of the department and assistant)
• Paintings and sculptures prep and evening teaching figurative drawing
• The School of Architecture (only assistant position)
• Studio of guest teacher (only assistant position)
• Digilab, laboratory classes and computer technology (Laboratory Manager)

Qualifications:
• Higher level education in field of Arts (in very exceptional cases this can be waived)
• Ability of theoretical reflection (artistic practice and preconditions for educational activities)
• Academic or Scientific degrees and pedagogical experience are welcome
• Moral integrity
• Organizational and communication skills, ability to work in team, autonomy and reliability

Applications must be accompanied by the following documents and materials:
• Certificate of higher education
• CV with an overview of current work activities and any teaching experience (range 1 A4 page)
• Documentation of your own artistic activity in the form of a book, monograph or comprehensive catalogue
• Your vision and concept of planned educational activities over the course of 5 years (in the range of 1-3 A4 pages, to be delivered in electronic form on a CD – and only for those applying as head teachers). The vision and teaching concepts of each candidate will be published on the website of the Academy.

The deadline for all applications is September 3rd 2010.
