The events of the Milena principle are meeting places which enables the more intimate sharing of experiences and ideas and finding others in a common, artistic and social manner. This open character of art is the underlying basis of the Milena. During these meetings multidisciplinary exhibitions are held as well. These exhibitions have a high 'laboratory value' and the performances, installations, drawings, poetry and discussions take place in an organic way.

Two large projects are in preparation in Portugal.‘the embassy of Silence’ is a structural cooporation project with the Monastery of Tibaes. It promotes the qualities of silence and space. This project, in which art is the binding agent, integrates diverse disciplines and sectors, including economy, ecology, culture, welfare, education, justice and health care in a process which is socially integrated and transgressing. ‘Sense in the city’ is an urban design project which interpretes public space as a surface of the imagination upon which the wishes, interests, traditions and yearnings of a society are manifested. In this projects instruments of art and knowledge interbreed. Artistic instruments are ‘promenadology’ (the art of taking a walk in the urban landscape) and ‘the anatomy of silence’ (unfolding your senses, listening to to the city). This project is proposed to Guimaraes Cultural Capital of Europe in 2012.
