International Symposium of “Identity in Art and Interactions” 10-13 May 2010

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts
History of Turkish Arts Research and Application Centre
An international symposium “Identity in Art and Interactions” shall be held at Mimar Sinan Fine
Arts University, History of Turkish Arts Research and Application Centre at Sedad Hakkı Eldem Auditorium, between May 10th-13th 2010. The language of participation is Turkish and English.
Main participation is expected to be in the field of Art History, including painting, sculpture,
architecture, Sociology of Arts, Philosophy of Arts, Literary Arts and any other areas which explicate
“identity and interactions” in art.
Those who wish to take part in the symposium have to apply by filling out the included application
form, together with a summary of their paper, not exceeding one hundred words until 15th February 2010 to secretariat of the symposium. The result of appraisal by “The Symposium Committee of Science and Art” will be announced in detail to those concerned, with a second announcement at the end of February 2010.
For the authors of eligible essays and for those participating from outside Istanbul “Accommodation
Reservation Forms” will be forwarded, as assistance shall be provided concerning hotel reservations. All expenses will be covered by the participant. A boat tour is being planned for the participants on the Bosphorus on either 13th or 14th May 2010.
