The Hole is a project by artists Neli Ruzic (Croatia) & Marie-Christine Camus (France).
This video-instalation narrates the story of a particular moment on the island of Solta in Croatia. In 1943, a pit known as “Rudine” was used to disappear people suspected of being against the Yugoslavian resistance (the partisans) and in 1998 was transformed into a memorial. The artists are interested in the myths and the costruction of memory that arise from the oral histories of this place.
