"What happens to you doesn’t depend on you, it depends on the others fellow" – Sanford Meisner
During these eight weeks we will study once a week together, and practice Meisner's foundational work. You will develop your connection with your fellow actor, and your emotional openness and spontaneity. You will learn how to abandon your self-consciousness and stiffness, and worry less how you appear to audience or colleagues.
You will act authentically, working deeply from your character's point of view, improvising freely, and working moment to moment. And as we introduce script work, we will study Meisner's unique approach to text analysis, and yet remain focused on how to stay powerfully simple and truthfully present in the scene.
Andre Bolouri will be the principal teacher for all sessions, and the work will be predominantly in German.
Numbers on the course are strictly limited. This fixed group will meet and study at our spacious Studio in Kreuzberg. Each class will be three hours.
To reserve a place, or if you have any other queries about the course, please email us and we will try to answer your questions. This course is suitable for experienced professionals or actors just starting out.
Final acceptance on the course is by interview and invitation only.
This is a very practical opportunity to gain a real grasp of this approach, and set your acting on a totally new path....
